The Apaches are a violent group of marginal people, vivientes (“living ones”), in Uchronic Paris, where they belong to the urban lower class (the lumpenproletariat). Their zone is Demi-Moon, the Parisian underworld; they operate near a tavern and Montparnasse. Their activities are street boxing, robbery, foul blows and urban violence.

They are modeled on the historical Apache subculture of Belle Époque Paris (c. 1900–1914), adapted to the uchronic setting. They appear in a passing mention in a description of Parisian boxing.
