Ankara / Ancyra is a city that, in the shared cosmos, is the first place of the Fall. “Ancylae” means anchor.
Zenobia of Palmyra conquered it with Sasanian help. It was the capital of the state of Galatia (280–64 B.C.), created by Gallic immigrants from Thrace. There is also an Ankara in Georgia, Tartary, the land of the Ossetians (Ossetia).
Open questions
- Whether the similarity of Ankara and Andgara is a phonetic echo is possible but unconfirmed.
