Anastasia (“the anti-Asia” in an old tongue) is an unreachable island in the far south, beyond Africa toward the pole, and the invisible city contained in Mount Analogue.

Description
Pico revealed that Mount Analogue — the celestial mountain brought down to Earth — has two extremes: to the north, in the darkest, coldest ice where certain beings take their essence; to the south, in waters few have sailed, the island of Anastasia. It is the city parallel to the City of Kings, near where Mount Analogue stood, over the waters where Mu sank. The city of the mountain has seven levels, a purgatory leading to the earthly paradise, perhaps related to Atlantis.
History
- On an earlier expedition the company had the chance to free Anastasia and did not; it remained unredeemed, with the Castle of the Prism embedded, empty, in its heights.
- Auro took the Mount by the double descent, the double serpent, attacking from the coast and the high ground at once. He then left for the southern seas of Queen Astrea, near Anastasia.
