The Tower of Titti Frame, also called the twin towers of Titti, is a double tower, one body white and one black, “easily 100 feet”, on the ring of towers around the crater of Caldero. One enters only by invitation, and can leave by teleportation circle.

Description

“It looks like Las Pedres. A great cabal of figures”: large figures crowd the facade and interiors, and the height commands the crater. Three hundred feet away stands the Obsidian Tower of Lord Balantru or Valanthru, with telescope, barbican and murder holes. When the volcano erupts and lava pours from that tower’s special holes, people go to Titti Frame.

Entrance and interior

Carts and large mounts park on the esplanade. Invitations come from the barlinesas. Entry is ceremonial, without searches: “the javelins announce them, bam, it goes on the floor and nobody says anything”.

A staircase marked “titito, upward” rises from the ground floor. Tapestries tell old stories, among them the tales of the false ferryman; a painting shows old people becoming young. Upstairs, the ballroom is redecorated between receptions held three or four months apart, with champagne and canapés, not a banquet. A certain Carlos was once found there.

A working teleportation circle makes the tower a safe arrival point; facing a dragon, the order was “teleport everyone to Titi’s tower”.

It is also called “the Tower of Titifred… the house of Ibadi”, named as owner or lord.

Conflicting accounts

  • One version says the twin towers “were never visited again”; another speaks of recurring receptions.
  • A nearby statement, not naming it, says the building has no window and one door.

Open questions

  • How Ibadi relates to the name Titti Frame.
  • How many floors, and why one body is white and one black.
  • Where the circle leads and who activates it.
  • What the javelins are, and by what authority the barlinesas invite.
