Ohio is a river and region to the west that also works as a frontier, reached “crossing a limit of the borders”. A large settlement holds its waterfalls, and the dragon of Ohio, first on the list of dragons to hunt, occupies part of it.

Geography
Toward its heart lies “almost the conjunction, that zone of waterfalls”, where several courses meet. “The river that comes from the North is the North River”, a tributary. The eastern side is the waterfall side. Inland lies the Ohio Valley. Travelers are warned: “you’re going through Ohio, you’ll have to protect yourselves”.
At the confluence of the falls stands a large settlement exercising “control over a territory”. Inland “are the tribes, the first ancient chiefs”.
The dragon
A dragon has “taken a place in Ohio”. On the list of marked dragons, “the first on the list is the dragon of Ohio”, “big and powerful”, “sometimes the most wanted”. Asked whether it was brought down, the answer was “no”. A Green Dragon was also at the falls, on the eastern side.
Role
Ohio is a route with a price, a frontier, and a refuge: “seeking refuge in the Ohio zone” is a declared option.
Conflicting accounts
- Latitude “between 30 and 35 degrees”, hedged “I don’t know, it depends”.
- It is also tied to the northern frontier: “wow, Ohio, we’re the deep ones”.
Open questions
- The settlement’s size, walls and name; its relations with the ancient chiefs.
- The dragon’s color, breath and lair; whether it is the Green Dragon, a rival or a successor.
- What crossing costs and who collects.
- A river heard as “Caragua” cannot be fixed.
- Whether the Ohio Valley is the basin itself or a distinct inland land.
- Soil, climate and building materials.
