Black Sea (Mar Negro) is an inland body of water of the uchronic world, a closed sea with caravans along its shores and ships on its surface, from which one can sail toward Constantinople.
In its waters rises Serpent Island. The record shows a party crossing toward that island, about three or four hundred kilometers from where it had been before.
