| Spanish entry | El Libro |
Nature
- Written “with the heart, not with the head.” A note of doubtful confidence says “two sticks or scribes” wrote it, in a singular way that affects its reading and meaning.
- Only a few can read and interpret it. It contains manipulable magical energies.
Protections
- Guard enchantments cause a physical sensation of life draining away on approach.
- Opening it unharmed requires spiritual “fortitude”; the protections intensify with the temporal distance explored.
- Chroniclers of the Templar company say the Book existed in a loop, traveling to the future, returning to the past and back to the present, until it returned to the past and stopped traveling through time.
Other mentions
- The Mediterranean cycle has a Book in the infernal library of the seventh circle of hell, and a stolen Book to be guarded and delivered to whoever it belongs to.
- Whether these are the same Book, its two parts, or different books is not recorded.
