The Iridescent Globe Entity is a singular planar power, also called the Gate, the Key and taul (“the prolonger of life”), that exists with all time and space; without it the road between the planes does not open.

Description
“It appears as a conglomerate of ever-fluctuating iridescent globes that flow into one another and burst”; “sometimes it seems 10 meters across, sometimes it reaches 150”. It is one being, always named in the singular.
Its “usual domains” lie in distant worlds and times, not on Earth, to which it travels. First contact was made “beyond the constellation of Aldebaran, in the plane of dreams”, through “a hook thrown”; by whom and when is not recorded.
Cult
Only mages and sorcerers worship and reach it. It grants them sight of other planes; its third name also promises longer life. It can “travel through the planes to any time and space, since it exists with all time and space”. Dealings carry a danger: that the veil may fall, bringing “madness and destruction to those who have dealings with it”.
It commands various monsters of distant worlds, a relationship involving gifts and the road; the testimony breaks off where it would say who gives what to whom. It travels to Earth “in order to destroy and plunder”.
Open questions
- Whether “prolonger of life” is a real effect or an epithet is not established.
- What the veil is, and what holds it up, is unknown.
- How the opener of roads relates to the plunderer is unresolved.
- Taul reached the record garbled; “mages” may be an emendation of “pagos” (probable, not certain).
- What it plunders on Earth, and how often it comes, is lost in an unreadable phrase.
- The account is recent and not yet confirmed by tradition.
