Black Dragon is a gargantuan dragon that lives on the surface of Ardis Vala, venerable according to those who heard it speak.

| Spanish entry | Dragón negro |
Description
It can converse with the Seekers and can also kill their companions. It spits a stream of acid that disintegrates even the skeleton, and one witness saw it fly and fall upon a party mid-attack.
Role
Its domain is a swamp. It collects taxes from the domain’s goblin population and offers protection, against the caladas according to some, against the place’s painful darkness according to others.
Conflicting accounts
- A doubtful record has it exuding black substance from the swamp itself.
- A still more doubtful one says it was summoned in the past by the Seekers’ own will, in a manner similar to the hollow man.
