The Castle of Vladi is a sealed castle about fifty kilometers east of Prague, beyond its jurisdiction, at the end of the Prague – Castle of Vladi route. A host was being moved there from Prague, toward a benefactor.

Location
The ride takes at most two days (“not too far”). Power sits in Prague Castle; what cannot stay in Prague goes to Vladi: “the idea was to take this host east. To a contact. A castle. He is a benefactor.”
Description
A block of white limestone with no curtain wall: “a structure that holds up by itself”, topped by battlements and climbed by stairways. Legend gives its walls three meters of thickness. Nearby is a cliff of thirty to forty feet, and six kilometers off an unnamed village.
The walls are pitted “as if it had suffered a mix of siege and attempted burning, probably both”. Outside stand deformed carvings “that may once have been statues of saints”. It is sealed, with no guard outside.
Defenses
It shut itself up when the attack came, and dimensional anchors prevent teleporting inside.
Other castles (not Vladi)
- the Castle of Silling (also “Sealing”), in the Black Forest, on a plateau about two thousand meters high walled by sheer rock “like a screen, there is no opening”, home of nobles and of transformation rituals with captive women;
- the Castle of the Prism, of many-colored crystal, floating thousands of meters up, with six great towers (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) “like gigantic guardians” and a crystal gate;
- the sterncastle (castillo de popa) of the ship Reunidos;
- the red-stone castle outside Kosovo, and Prince Mony’s castle in Serbia.
Open questions
- The physical description is recorded under “the castle” and attributed to Vladi by continuity only.
- Who the contact was, what he gave for the host, and who lives inside now.
- When the attack came, who attacked and defended; whether siege, iconoclasm or something else deformed the statues.
- How many dimensional anchors there are, where, and who installed them.
- What jurisdiction governs a place tied to Prague by route but outside its law.
