Witches (brujas) are magic-wielding women who live in the forest of the zone and on the outskirts of Florence, where belief in them is general; some live on remote farms.
Description
- Together they gain special powers, including the generation of lightning; alone they attack with magic and spells, knives, claws and teeth.
- One party counted six flasks of brew among them. Several accounts say they smell of fish and sea.
- They are recorded as looting corpses and transporting undead under control, possibly manipulated by demons or by corrupt ecclesiastical power; this is not settled.
- Some betrayed someone, and one person considered confronting them and denouncing the betrayal.
- In the Crown of the North, a doubtful record says the witches of Salem are called “dancula” in this world, that the fight against them is active and the threat real.
- Witches are burned in public squares.
