Alaska is the frozen northern region, far from Megapolis, where the substance “that came from outside” fell with a meteorite, and the origin of the drug that gives people powers and kills them. A decommissioned missile silo there, relabeled for climate research, houses the laboratory that works it.

Installations

The records describe the facilities rather than the land: “a former old silo base,” a dismantled missile silo left over from a war that no longer exists. Its architecture is unchanged — underground, armored, isolated — but it now bears a climate-research label: «Como ahora ya no hay guerra, llevada a búsqueda de ayuda climática» (“Since there is no war now, taken over for climate-aid research”). Inside is “a special laboratory” where experiments are done with atomic components.

There are several silos and a missile base; corporations in general “have facilities in Alaska.” One silo, “supposedly abandoned,” was legally given to Mars Inc. for its philanthropic work.

The chain from the sky

Alaska is both origin and processing plant. The meteorite brought the extraterrestrial substance, with which “three things could have happened.” From it the mafia derives the combat drug pack, which goes on “filling people with powers and killing the people most loved.” Remote, armored and legally opaque, the reused military site combines container (silo), content (laboratory) and permit (climate or philanthropic cover).

Dispute

The silo is contested by the State that ceded it, Mars Inc. that received it, and the mafia that processes the substance. At some point “they invaded the Alaska base.” The site is still active: an operation of February 2035 used it as a setting. The Alaska meteorite is mentioned together with the transformation of Cheeseman and the pizzeria shipment, threads not yet tied together.

Open questions

  • Climate, terrain, access and the state of the structures are not recorded.
  • What the “three things” that could have happened to the substance are.
  • Who invaded the base, when and against whom; whether it is Mars Inc.’s silo or another.
  • Whether the corporate facilities form one complex or separate, rival sites; who signed the cession of the silo and under what legal form.
  • Whether the meteorite fell on the base, near it, or the facility was built afterward because of it.
