Zarathustra (Zaratustra) is a concept of the Invisible Cities chronicle: not only a name but a partition, and the liturgy built around it. The whole name exists only when its two halves join: Zara and Tustra.

The revelation
The revelation is spoken in two voices: “Ella es Sara y yo soy Tustra” (“She is Sara and I am Tustra”).
The ceremony
- The ceremony in progress is “the ceremony of Zaratustra”. It ends when the cycle begins again.
- Its preachers are two voices that tempt listeners to renounce the gods. One of them “served an archdevil before and now serves the darkest forces… to leave behind the religion that once existed, but no longer exists”.
- It was pronounced at the feast where Moon River was awakened.
- It has a sacred book, Ani Khabbi Zaratustra, and three levels of reading: liturgical, allegorical and performative.
