Uránica is a family house of Uchronic Paris of which the archive preserves little beyond the name. The root evokes Uranus, the primordial sky for the ancients and the seventh planet for the moderns. The house may therefore belong, or have belonged, to the families of zodiacal and planetary invocation, houses that bear a sign or star as a surname.

Chroniclers also note that Uránica sounds very close to Ucrónica (uchronic), the adjective that defines the capital of 1901 and its whole cycle.
