Thunderbirds are mythical beings mentioned in the gloves of Sequoia, named as potential allies for reaching the Flying Dutchman. Pomola is their guardian spirit. Their projected role is aerial transport and alliance against the usurpation of the birds’ territory.
They are referenced again when Farruco is dragged into the well. They never appear in scene; they were possibly contacted outside the recorded story or in the gesta’s narrative close.
