Tecumseh is a great war chief of the Shawnee, remembered in the Crown of the North as the model of the native leader the wounded continent was still able to produce. His name means “shooting star”.

Description

  • He is a brilliant tactician and also a man of compassion, who abolished torture among his people when the rest of the world held it as custom.
  • Like a shooting star, he crossed history fast and luminous, impossible to stop or to hold.
  • He is shown on horseback at the head of his party, crossing a sun-dappled forest.

Role

He embodies the healthy face of the resonance of the living earth: what the Medawin would be if the European nails were not killing it, a power that unites without extracting and fights without debasing itself. Against the logic of massacre and dispossession that corrodes the continent, he stands for war as the defense of an order, not its dissolution.
