Magical Technology of the Labyrinth is the arcane engineering that defends the labyrinth from within:
- War spell: alters the architecture, opening or hiding walls.
- Magic mists: visibility drops to about five feet in some areas.
- Protected doors: sturdier than normal; they yield only to a forced opening enchantment.
- Spiderwebs: an added hazard in dark passages.
- Directional confusion: about half the time, a walker takes the opposite heading.
- Bars of magical force: an invisible cage.
The defenses may have been raised in haste, perhaps with high-power magic, for a defensive purpose.
Open questions
- Who built it, and whether before or after the initial assault on the Temple, is unknown.
