Rocco is a young man in a beret in the Florenzen chronicle, set in Florence in 1300. He deals cards for pay and turns out to be a spy.
History

- He arrives with a wine, sits down and explains the game he is paid to run.
- Later, when matters turn ugly and he is given one more reason, a funeral, he confesses that he stole the cards himself and offers a pact.
- He sits at the card table with Lucio Spini.
Open questions
- Whether he will visit his sick children is left open as his dramatic hook.
