The Ivory Gate is the double door at the center and end of the Labyrinth, opening onto its final chamber. Access was gained by a suggestion spell cast on Michel.

Description

  • The door has two leaves, ivory-white, and is closed at first.
  • Inside is a chamber with four staircases (four architectural levels).
  • A red bowl on the lowest level is full of dried or fresh blood.
  • A statue of a demonic gargoyle, described as part of the architectural design.
  • A central stone pedestal.
  • A pentagram marked on the floor, invisible until the wood is removed.

The pentagram suggests magical or demonic ritual; the blood may come from ritual sacrifices.

After the combat

The door stays open. This is the “final chamber” of the Labyrinth: there are no deeper levels.
