Judas Coin as a Focus of Power is the use by Michel of Judas’s coin as a focus of necromancy and fear. Judas, the traitor par excellence, gives power over betrayal: his thirty pieces of silver, the payment for treachery, are associated with demonic power. The result is a “just” necromancy that invokes the punishment of the traitor.
