Metacom (King Philip) is an indigenous king and a figure of resistance who communicates with the group through a reflective lake. Historically, King Philip (Metacom) led the war against the settlers in 1675–76; in the uchronia he appears a decade earlier.
He appears in the opening recap and in the two-way communication during the boarding of the Dutchman on the Moon. His connections are Medawin, the reflective lake and the war against the settlers.
