Les Halles is the dockworkers’ zone and great market of Paris, in the Halls district, a center of both legal and illegal commerce. Its sheds hold foodstuffs such as flour, and horse-drawn wagons unload there. It is a zone of hard, poorly paid work in precarious conditions.

On a later day in Uchronic Paris, Cornablue and La Salud are discovered performing a sinister ritual in a circle of flour. The group fights their thugs. Abí casts a fire spell, the flour ignites, and the resulting massive fire destroys the shed.
