Master Glaucom is an elderly Templar alchemist, shown with alembics and an astrolabe. A learned master, he occupies zone 10 of the Temple complex, the “Room of Master Glaucom”.
His complex figure joins the order of Hugues de Payens with the Arabic traditions of Al-Biruni, Avicenna and Al-Farabi, whose works filled the shelves of his personal study.
Places
- House of Glaucom: his private study inside the Temple, with shelves of classical Arabic authors.
- Temple (Complex, TE): where he lives; zone 10, with the alchemy laboratory in zone 7. It stands in Jerusalorium.
- Crypt of the Temple: the underground levels where the hidden alchemical work is carried out.
Hugues de Payens was superior of the Order during the period in which Glaucom taught. Master Glaucom (figure, TE) is the same figure as he appears in the day’s account.
