The Interdict (Forbiddence) is the sacred ban that the Patriarch, or the angel acting for him, pronounces over an enclosure. It is kindled with the Bell as its activating object and extends to about 120 feet all around.
Within the circle everything turns against the profane:
- Holiness sustains the morale of the just.
- Every chaotic or evil being takes an automatic punishment that few resist whole; only the firmest wills suffer it by half.
- Demons are cast back to their plane.
- An aura of goodness falls on the protected and shields them from evil.
The ban lasts as long as the officiant holds concentration, and strikes all the profane beneath its shadow at once.
