The Columbus Lighthouse (Faro a Colón) is the tower of light in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, prophesied in 1966 and lit in 1992, toward which the voice of the dream directs the blue stone. It is the Caribbean node of the Operation Northern Lighthouse network.

The prophecy

In the shared dream, Archimedes orders the group to carry the blue stone to the Dominican Republic, “where Columbus landed and where there will be a lighthouse”. In 1966 the lighthouse does not yet exist; it is an old nineteenth-century project. The voice measures time in first lights: when five hundred years of the first light are fulfilled, the suns will align with the key and the tower of light.

Description

The monument is colossal, shaped like a cross lying on the ground; its reflectors project a cross of light into the sky, visible for kilometers. It holds — or claims to hold — the navigator’s remains. It was inaugurated in 1992, the fifth centenary of the landing on Hispaniola, under President Dr. Balaguer, the “fulcrum” to which Archimedes sends the group. The dreamers of 1966 are thus sent to consecrate a stone in a lighthouse finished twenty-six years later.

The Caribbean node

In the Operation Northern Lighthouse layout, the lighthouse is the Dominican plug of the network: the wiring of lighthouses “crosses through the Dominican Republic” between the southern altar of Claromecó and the northern towers. It lies in the same sea that swallowed the plane of the fifty-four cadets in 1965, on the island where Trujillo fell and forty thousand marines landed.
