The Excavation of the Etruscan is a strike of excavators at the tomb of the Etruscan in Uchronic Paris. The strikers are metalworkers reassigned to unhealthy underground work without coverage.

Their demands are unionization, eight-hour days, Sunday rest, a raise and overtime pay. The strike was channeled by Claude Nauge and André La Forge from a miserable tenement, and financed with 500 francs from the group.

On a later day, the group’s first investigations into the Etruscan conspiracy beneath the Pantheon concern the related excavation.
