Ethiopia (also Abyssinia) is a place in the Horn of Africa in the CFA chronicle, and the home of GRDT, Maleika and their children.

Red-earth terraces descend an escarpment past a house with laundry hung out; behind rise the Mountains of the Moon, with something pale nested in the highest cleft.
Role
- Home. When Graz’zt makes his last plan (1904), he takes his best here: “Etiopía, Abisinia, hijos” (“Ethiopia, Abyssinia, children”). A speaker also recalls being, at the beginning, in Atulia, Ethiopia, Abyssinia.
- Seen from afar. The head of Enoch, severed and left by Elias looking beyond the Mountains of the Moon, saw Abyssinia’s terraces and red lands.
- The egg. When the serpent was devoured, it laid an egg in Antiterra, in the Mountains of the Moon, north of Ethiopia. In the platforms’ game the grip point was Abyssinia, and the captured primary split into Terra and Antiterra: the doubling of the world has its nail here.
