The Strait of Gibraltar / Pillars of Hercules is the point where the group emerges from Avernus, leaving by an underground river between two enormous rocky promontories, the Pillars of Hercules. Fifteen kilometers separate the two sides, with the Atlantic on one and the Mediterranean on the other. An inscription reads “NEC Plus Ultra.” Guard towers with flag signals stand on both promontories.

Waiting ships

Two supernatural ships wait:

  • a white-sailed vessel with four supernatural sailors;
  • the Quimarrón, whose keel has a metal or bone frame and whose bow is double, one goat and one dragon.

The Torreón de Gibraltar serves as the contact garrison.
