Ellistraee is the goddess of the redeemed drow, the moon of the dark elves who have abandoned the cult of the Spider Queen.
She is the deity of Ariadna, who guides her apostasy; Ariadna’s naked dance belongs to Ellistraee. “Redeemed” does not mean defenseless. Ariadna warns Amdriel: “no significa que no cortemos los cuellos de quienes se esconden tras los arbustos para espiar nuestro rito” (“it does not mean we will not cut the throats of those who hide behind the bushes to spy on our rite”).
Ellistraee is the pole of redemption within drow cosmology, the luminous reverse of Lolth, the Spider.
