His faction, the ministers of Cromwell’s vengeance (Puritans and protectors), is hunted everywhere and suspected of necromancy. He asks the companions to avenge him on his betrayer and sends them to the old witch Mother Redcap, in a dangerously placed tavern.
They find him imprisoned at Tyburn Hill, a Nobiskrug worse than the rest, rescue him by night and flee with him and Richard to the hills of Suffolk, where he hid treasure in three chests. Lord Rochester is the enemy who emerges from the search for Old Cromwell.
