The Contract of Oratiol is an infernal pact in Antiterra that binds Oratiol, written under the notarial spelling “Orateor”. Signed in the Inferno with Monseñor Goull as consignee, it gave him a consecrated host, restored youth and a thousand years of life in exchange for a hundred innocent souls within one year, or else his own.

History
A succubus swallowed a consecrated host and vanished with it inside her body. To recover the lost host and enter the Host Poker, Oratiol (“the uncle”) signed the contract in the Inferno; signing was the only way to sit at that table, and what was agreed is paid by the year.
His companions read the contract with horror at the cold-iron farm, during the Paris arc (1717 A.D.A.). By then the count stood at ninety-nine souls. A plan was laid to descend into the Inferno to recover the document. During the Siege of the Tower of Heva, Queen Eva studied a copy; her notes were scattered in the sack.
The double body
Oratiol’s soul was pledged in hell with a one-year term. Meanwhile, under the cabin of his demiplane (beneath a trapdoor), he grew a twenty-year-old clone bearing sixty-eight marks on its hand, one for each debt settled. The clone later became the vessel of the restored soul of Krisina (“now I am Horatiol”).
Breaking of the pact
The pact broke at the weddings of the Far Shore in Farshore (1784 A.D.A.), when Krisina accepted the clone body. The twenty years he had been spared fell at once on the old Oratiol.
The document itself did not dissolve. Together with Krisina’s soul, it reappeared in infernal hands as part of an ominous haul: “a head, a gem and a black stick” with the soul inside.
