Bribaldo (surname / lineage)

Bribaldo is a surname and lineage of Vala, borne by Yuvé, the spy of the Wordbreakers. Its etymology recalls the medieval ribaldo (rogue).

The Archive classifies it as a minor house, with no recognized seat among the seven major houses of Vala, but with operational presence in Nesut Biti and in the arcs of the Tower Ob Caligni.

The form Bribaldo is canonical. Variants circulating in oral chronicles (Vihaldo, Vihonsuelo) are distortions, not alternative names. The lineage has no known family beyond Yuvé, so the surname works more as a mark of trade than as a family tree.
