The Oasis is a place in a frontier kingdom, governed by a lady. Its wealth is green: it grows lemons, and date palms and fruit trees grow among its waters.
It has an inner courtyard where tables are set for receptions, roughly a hundred feet by a hundred (an uncertain estimate), with pavilions or tents packed close beside the tables.
