Scimitar (cimitarra, also called alfanje) is a curved-bladed saber used in hand-to-hand combat, a warrior’s weapon across several days of the records.
It is characteristic of the Eastern and Levantine style and appears in the chronicles of the Templars, the Crown of the North and the Mediterranean coasts. Giant-sized scimitars also exist; who wields them or what they are raised against is not recorded.
