Bow (arco) is a projectile weapon used to shoot arrows in combat. Indian warriors carry it, and it appears among the weapons of enemy combatants; at least one anonymous bearer carries it as his own weapon. One bow is recorded that can be soaked in water with no harm noted.

The arch

Arco also means “arch”. In the days of the Invisible Cities it is recorded that “to enter through the arch one must say something unexpected”. Here the arco is not shot but passed through.

  • Is the arch a homonym in stone, a capricious portal, or the same word in another sense? The archive does not distinguish.
