Description
His blood descends from the desert queen whom Aurelian dragged in chains to Rome when Palmyra fell. In a gesta whose axis is the descent into Hell and the return from among those who no longer breathe (Gesta of 1300), his miracle — a dead child returned to life — is a door left ajar. The same name of Zenobia is borne by Niki, dragon rider of the Florentines.
