Tariq is the scimitar consecrated for La Pluma during an exchange with the Mahdi, after much of Barbatos’s treasure is offered. It is described as “the most sacred in Islam”. Its consecration brings together the blessings of those present and accompanies La Pluma’s promise to remain sober.
