The Red Slaad is a chaos frog-demon in perpetual leaping, an iconic creature of Limbo. It is a humanoid amphibian of chaotic-neutral nature, with claws that implant eggs in humanoid victims.
It is the most aggressive and physically powerful of the chromatic slaadi. Its red color corresponds to the lower rank of the slaad hierarchy, dominated by the higher-colored slaadi (orange, green, gray, death). In the shared cosmos it inhabits the plane of pure Chaos, where it coexists with the githzerai.
