| Type | Character (street fighter) |
| Era | 1824 AE (present cycle) |
| Place | Gulf of Mexico |
| Spanish entry | Pugil Atlante |
Distinct from the Pugil Atlante of Chicago, 1880.
Description
Extraordinarily oversized knuckles and forearms, adapted to street combat; bare chest, rough trousers like Liverpool dockers’, low open street guard. His tattoos, engraved in rituals not fully recorded, are not ornament but a conduit of primordial force. “The fist does not work by strength but by tracing; the tracing is inherited.”
Setting
He appears in a cove of the Gulf of Mexico where a pale-stone Atlantean platform rises from the sea — an echo of the Platforms of Vala-Ely. Whoever fights on the platform with legitimate tattoos wields the place’s primordial force. He fights in the Atlantean combat circuit.
