The Villains of New Orleans are the second group of the gesta (campaign-cycle) of The Deep Ones: a band of spirits and creatures who reincarnate and recognize each other between lives. They are paranormal specialists in spite of themselves.

History
From the New Orleans swamp and its voodoo ceremony, the band descends to Hell. There it crosses infernal beaches and a fortress, and meets the riddle of the Thinker, found petrified, on the origin of evil. Their route takes them down into the Dantean Inferno. In their thread a girl with black wings and a broken sword also appears, emerging from a gem, an echo of the Descent to come.
Relation to the Deep Ones
They are the dark double of the Deep Ones, the continuation of that first gesta in the negative. Where the Deep Ones were anarchists at heart, the Villains are declared villains, yet they fall into the same machinery of platforms, pacts and hells.
