The Four Wives (Julie, Adelaide, Constance and Fanny) are four female figures inside the Castle of Siegling, the four wives enumerated by the Sadean tradition. They act as intermediaries between the libertines and the victims.

Constance is the most developed: Maristo talks with her and draws out information about the children and the castle’s routine. She is the only one of the four who shows moral resistance.
