Clara Clean is one of the guardians of the New World cycle, alongside Richard Bentham. The Archive names her “Clara Klein with Kendal” (Clara Klein) and sets her task: “Clara Kling was Clara. Her mission: to remove, to eliminate the dross, the remains of iron.”
The name “Clean” is intentional and consistent with that mission of “cleaning” the remains of iron.
