Arden Vul is a variant name for Ardis Vala (also written Ardisvala), the megadungeon campaign. The canonical name is Ardis Vala, not Arden Vul; the material once held under this name was merged into the main entry.
The operational material now kept in Ardis Vala covers:
- the table of the ten levels and their sublevels;
- the active factions, the narrative arcs and the cast of companions;
- the episodes of the return after the Hiatus: Decio, Argus, Carad, Lali, the prismatic pentagram trap, the Pope’s librarian and the death of Numa Pompidio;
- the places Valdemora, Estellara, the Sunless Citadel (Ciudadela Sin Sol) and Mirela Valka.
A separate but related entity also exists: the gem-world Vala of the Caldero chronicle. Because of the similar names, a mention of “Ardis Vala” calls for a check of context before it is treated as a distinct entity.
